ORMATYC mailing list

ORMATYC has a majordomo mailing list available to all members. If you are an ORMATYC member then you are currently subscribed to this list. This list is intended to support the efforts and interests of the Oregon Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges and mathematics education in general.

To post a message to the subscribers of this list, send the message
TO: ormatyc-l@elara.jtan.com

To subscribe to the ormatyc-l mailing list e-mail to: ormatyc-l-request@elara.jtan.com a message that contains in its body "subscribe" without the quotes.
(the letter after ormatyc in the ormatyc-l command is an L)

To unsubscribe: If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list, send the following command in email to
ormatyc-l-request@elara.jtan.com
unsubscribe

Or you can send mail to Majordomo@elara.jtan.com with the following command in the body of your email message:
unsubscribe ormatyc-l

Or from another account, besides the account you subscribed with (Ex. you@your.domain):
unsubscribe ormatyc-l you@your.domain

If you ever need to get in contact with the owner of the list, (if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the list itself) send email to owner-ormatyc-l@elara.jtan.com . This is the general rule for most mailing lists when you need to contact a human.

You may also contact Gary Parker (from BMCC) at techsupport@ormatyc.org. As the ORMATYC technical support person, he is the current list owner.

There is also a web-based management system for this mailing list. To try it out, go to: http://webmail.jtan.com/cgi-bin/majordomo/. More details on using this web-based interface will be posted here soon.

In an attempt to minimize "junk mail," only subscribers to this list can post to this list.

By-the-way the character l is a lowercase L (not 1 (one)). Jtan() and the majordomo program recommend the -l at the end of the mailing list name to distinguish it as a mailing list and not an individual's address.
